The Xero integration allows ValuePRO users the ability to synchronise accounting functionality between ValuePRO and the Xero account system. This establishes a bi-directional capable link between the two software packages, allowing invoice and client information to be transferred from ValuePRO to Xero and payments registered to be transferred from Xero back into ValuePRO.
How It Works
The sync from ValuePRO to Xero will happen automatically as soon as the Invoice is generated on the job card. (Invoice button).
- NB: Sync is triggered when InvoiceDate is <= current date and InvoicePaidDate is blank.
Important: A job with an invoice date set will sync to Xero on that date, we recommend you make sure you have the correct ValuePRO defined Invoice date(DateInvoiced) field on all your Data Entry Templates. This will enable you to set the invoice date manually as well as check the date in the job.
Requirements of Xero Integration
This is for ValuePRO Master users with access to your company's Xero admin login.
You must have an existing ValuePRO instance and an active Xero account setup to log into Xero before proceeding.
Limitations of Xero Integration
Xero prefer their users to not share your Xero login details with third-party applications and we suggest you do the integration yourself so you do not have to share your credentials, also therefore ValuePRO does not have any fields to store your Xero credentials. The Xero integration will direct you to a special Xero page and prompt you to log in with your Xero credentials.
Setting it up
1. Accounting settings
In ValuePRO go to the Settings tab within your ValuePRO system and type in "accounting" in the settings search bar.
Set "Link to accounting system" to "on".
Stay on this screen and click the "Xero Token Generator" button.
2. Click the Xero token generator button as highlighted in yellow above.
3. Connect to Xero
Make sure you are logged into Xero.
4. Authorise the Application in Xero
Once logged into Xero as an admin, you will be asked to select the appropriate account and click on the Authorise button to allow the connection between Xero and ValuePRO.
5. Populate fields in ValuePRO
Click on Settings > Settings Tab

In ValuePRO go to the Settings tab within your ValuePRO system and type in "xero" in the settings "Filter Settings" search bar and hit the Apply button.
This will show a list of the fields for the Xero integration.
