We typically refer to Valuations as ‘jobs’, and each valuation performed has a ‘job card’ which is used to enter data for a valuation.
Add a Valuation
To create a new job, click the ‘Add a Valuation’ page. This will open a pop-up which will contain fields to enter the basic data required to create a job.
Step 1: Enter an Address
Enter the details in the fields provided.
If performing a valuation on a property that has already been valued by you before, you can select it from the second page. This will import all previous data used on the property before, and will also allow you to use the previous valuation in your valuation evidence.Step 2: Allocate a Valuer
You do not have to do this straight away if you do not want to!Step 3: Enter Job Details

The Job Card
Our valuation has been created, our client has been allocated, now its time to start the valuation process!
Valuations are conducted by entering data into the fields listed on the job card. This data is organised by Tabs along the top of the card, and sections in each tab.
The data and fields that are available on the ‘job card’ can be customised: the layout that a job card uses is referred to as a ‘Data Entry Template’, or DET. We will discuss templates next!
As mentioned, job cards can vary depending on the customisation of the valuation. We will go through what a typical job card will look like:
Instructions - information used for template set up, valuer allocation, job tracking and fee allocation

Finished? Make sure to press the Save button
Generate Report
Finished the valuation and ready to send it off? Press the Generate Report button to generate a printable PDF of the valuation.
The generated report uses the allocated Report Template to lay out all information in the job card. This allows the report to follow any documentation requirements you may have, and makes it easy to modify in a word document, or to print or email in a PDF document.
Report Templates are fully customisable, and you can create as many different types of report templates as you wish. We will discuss Report Templates further in the Templates section.
Other Functions on the Job Card
Calculate: Available on some versions of ValuePRO to automatically calculate some numerical fields such as yield, market value etc.
Spell - runs a spell check function across all fields in job card
QA - Quality Assurance - runs some predefined checks to verify the property’s valuation. This includes some checks required to send jobs to 3rd party systems (such as Valex)
Delete - Delete Job card from the system

Job Status
At the bottom right of the job card, you will see a large button that says “STATUS”. It may also describe a status of the job, such as ‘Valuer Allocated’ or ‘Typing Completed’.
This is used to track the job’s progress, from its first creation, inspection date, report completion, client invoicing and finally job completion.
Clicking the Status button will open a window where the job’s status can be changed. In some cases, a job’s status may be updated automatically. For example, when a job is sent from the ‘Send’ button, the job will automatically update to ‘Report Sent’.
The Status window also contains two additional tabs:
The Job History tab contains a timestamped list of changes made to a job, including which valuer accessed and modified, and when the job’s status was changed. This helps track a job’s progress, as well as to see if any incorrect changes were made.
The Inspection tab is used to make arrangements required to perform a property inspection, including providing the valuer, client and access contact information, and informing the client that an inspection will be taking place.
