Manually importing sales from a csv or Excel file
It is not an import and forget method, but you can import sales from a csv file. The limitation on imported sales in a csv, is that you still have to open each sale you imported individually to confirm the address/geolocate the address for it to map (or be searchable in the job card).
Go to Sales on the left main menu.
Click on the Import Generic Sales Data button on the bottom of this screen.
Upload your file.
Mapping
Start the process of mapping your header row, data from the first cell of active data to the last.
After this process, ValuePRO will let you "map" the data from the spreadsheet to the database fields for sales. (see the upcoming fields and boxes on the left of the screen)
See below (left corner) only the address field is assigned to a valid ValuePRO field, the rest still needs to be mapped to the actual field name you have for that data point on your Sales DET.
You will see a list of drop downs appear as you start typing, where you can select the correct Field for each item detected in your sheet. If your field is not automatically listed, type it in as it is called on your field actual name.
Map these and click the "Verify Data" button. Verify.
NB: We recommend making your sheet only contain sales data columns of fields you will need as per your sales DET, keep it simple.

For testing purposes, you can try the first upload with sample data:
Sample data file downloadable here.
NB: Once you added the sales to the database, open each sale that you imported and save them individually to be able to add them to your jobs' job cards. This ensures the address is geocoded. It is also good to review each to see the accuracy of the import.
