Photos and Maps can be added to a report template using MergeFields.
Photos are stored in their own ‘Table’, so inserting a photo requires a Repeated Section field (to define the type of photo) and a Single MergeField (to define which specific photo in that section to use).
These steps will explain the process of adding a Photos. The same process is used for adding Maps.
You can also view an example report template which includes the necessary formatting here.

Step 1
Insert the MergeField TableStart:X where, X is a MergeField found in the list of Photos MergeFields or in the list of Maps MergeFields.
The below image illustrates the mergefield to be added in the Word document.
Step 2
Insert the MergeField Image:PhotoIDX,Y,Z after the MergeField inserted in Step 1, where:
X is the number of the first image to start printing at. Leave at 1 to begin printing from the first image.
Y is the width the image will be resized to.
Z is the height the image will be resized to.
In the image below, you can see photos added to a job card. Job Card images from X onward will be merged
The below image illustrates the mergefield to be added in the Word document.
Step 3 (Optional)
Insert the MergeField Title to merge the title of the photo to the Report Template. The number following Title should match the number of the image from Step 2.
Step 4
Finish off by inserting the MergeField TableEnd:X, where X is the same MergeField used in Step 1.

Adding Photos for Sales Evidence
Sales evidence photos are included in the ‘Sales Evidence’ table. As such, when adding sales evidence photos, step 1 of the process can be skipped.
Instead, simply add the ‘TableStart:SalesEvidence’ repeated section tag as normal. Then, include the mergefield ‘Image:SalesCaptureIDx,y,z’
The same process is also used for other ‘repeated sections’ including:
LeaseEvidence

Displaying Photos in a Grid
Displaying photos in a grid gives you more flexibility in the design and formatting of your report template.
Photo grids are formatted for one row of the grid, and report generation will create as many rows as are required to fill the necessary photos.
Step 1
Insert the TableStart:X and TableEnd:X mergefields, using the list of Photos MergeFields or list of Maps MergeFields.
Step 2
Between the TableStart and TableEnd fields, insert a regular Word table, and format the table in the grid layout you would like the photos to appear in.
Step 3
For each photo in one row of the grid, enter the Image:PhotoIDX,Y mergefield, where:
X is equal to the ordinal of the photo in the row (i.e. first photo in the row is ID1, second is ID2, third is ID3)
Y is equal to the width of the photo
Step 4
For any other additional information to be added to the photo grid (such as photo title, date uploaded etc.), add the ordinal of the photo after the name of the mergefield.
In the example above, the title for each photo is added with the fields Title1, Title2, Title3 respectively.
Step 5
Upload your new report template in place of the old one in ValuePRO Standard Edition. You can have the name of the file set to anything of your choosing.
Styling your Photos and Photo Grid
How do I style my table for the Photo Grid?
The styling on your table will be reflected on your document, we suggest at the least set it to have no border lines and adequate spacing between photos. Also set your alignment. Use the Design tab under Tables in Word to edit your tables easily.
What do I do if I want to group all the building photos together in the Improvements section of my report?
You can use the tag option in the SE photo screen on each of your sectioned photos, and add a section in your report template that references these tagged photos.
In your report template:
The images tagged inside will show in this section.
You can read more about formatting the tagged photos merge field in the [List of Photo Merge Fields]
